Chris Weeks hat eine mitreißende Dokumentation über die Straßenfotografie gemacht. Darin sieht man ihn und andere Fotografen bei der Arbeit und in Interviews. Es würde beinahe nicht verwundern, wenn in der Ecke oben ein kleines Leica Logo platziert wäre, denn alle beteiligten schwören auf die Rangefinderkameras von Leica, als könnte man mit keiner anderen Kamera der Welt ähnliches machen. Und wahrscheinlich haben sie damit recht.
Er hat die Dokumentation in drei Folgen aufteilen müssen, da sie eine Gesamtlänge von 40 Minuten hat. Absolut sehenswert – auch wenn ihr nicht selbst fotografiert.

This is my friend Chris Weeks - he’s an amazing photographer and a super cool guy. He made this video about his passion - street photography - and along with some of his Leica crew he discusses the art and the tools of the trade while capturing some incredible photographs of people and places around Los Angeles. If you’re in any way interested in photography, you really should watch this video - Chris is, I think, one of the best non-studio photographers shooting today, he is able to make breathtaking photographs in any scene or situation. Mundane airport terminals in the Midwest, Paris Hilton’s vapid Vegas parties, taco trucks on Olympic Blvd, and stale red-carpet lineups all come alive through his pictures, the narrative he is able to create with a single frame is intimidatingly beautiful.
