Last night, on the three-year anniversary of the party that was started at LAX by Steve, AM, and Mark, was the final Banana Split. The night was sort of a memorial for DJ AM, and some of his best friends (and some of the best DJs from around the world) came out to honour him - DJ A-Trak, Cut Chemist, Z-Trip, Justice, Steve Aoki, and a lot of others spun for their homie. I had just started hanging out with Mark, and Steve, and Adam when the night started, and it’s wild to think that it’s been three years… how much has changed but also how fast it’s happened. I went with Ivey, Hanna, and some other friends - we only stayed for a little while but the vibe was like I’ve never seen before and it was really good seeing everyone, three years of friends and memories.

My homie Rony shot Perry Farrell performing Where Is My Mind (originally by The Pixies) at the one year anniversary of Bardot. Rony also shot Sam Sparro doing Personal Jesus. I’ve said before how much I love Bardot… It’s nothing like the babygirl bitches & bottle service places around town, it’s just a chill hangout for people who love music.

Death By Diamonds & Pearls - Band of Skulls

Hit up Bardot last night for La Boum where Band of Skulls dropped by and killed it with their set! AJ, Myles, and Ana throw a great party and Bardot is probably my favorite spot in LA - it’s not really hollywood and you’ll never hear Top 40s on the dancefloor - it’s more of a hang out for people who like music, so on any given night MGMT, Prince, Ryan Gosling, Devendra Banhart, Lykke Li, whomever is sitting at the couch next to you will just pull out a laptop or a backpack of vinyl and throw a DJ set or grab a mic.
