Anyway, this may be a good opportunity to ask Tumblr people: does anyone know where I could get a copy of The Decline of Western Civilization? It’s (surprisingly) not on Netflix. I’ve never seen the whole thing and keep meaning to….anyone?

You can find it as a torrent if you’re down with the not-so-legal thing (and really, if you can’t find something via the legal methods I don’t see any moral objection - it’s the new bootleg!), or if you’re stone cold crazy you can drop between $100-$200 ebay for a VHS copy. There are at least a dozen indie movie stores in LA that rent it, and I’m sure the same is true of NYC. There’s also American Hardcore, but it’s not exactly the same thing haha.

If you love DC punk you should definitely check out the webcast of Henry Rollins’ weekly LA radioshow, Harmony In My Head - every week he plays these ridiculous, amazing, beyond rare punk 7in records that he’s amassed over the years.
